2. What data we process
Only the data you provide in the contact form or in the calculator: full name, email, profile and, if you choose to add them, company and position, phone number and a description of the transaction; in the calculator, also the options you choose for each question. Fields not marked “optional” are needed to handle your request: if you do not provide them, we will not be able to reply. Please do not include confidential information about third parties or special categories of data.
3. Purpose and legal basis
- Responding to your request and, where applicable, holding the discussions prior to a possible professional relationship. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Calculating the calculator’s indicative valuation and contacting you with the result: based on your answers we estimate a value range for your business, or the payback period of the investment you are considering, and a score from 0 to 100. We show you the result on screen and send it to you by email. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Sending you the newsletter with Link Capital’s articles and news, only if you tick the relevant box on the form. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and Art. 21 of the Spanish LSSI). You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email or by writing to us.
- Protecting the form against abuse (mass or automated submissions). We keep a pseudonymised identifier of your IP address and another of your email address (encrypted codes from which neither can be read) to limit the number of submissions and confirmation emails. They are used only for that check and are deleted automatically with the first submission of a new day. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The calculator’s valuation and score are a simple form of profiling based on your answers: they are indicative, have no legal effect and do not significantly affect you, and we do not take automated decisions within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Every valuation is reviewed by a Link Capital partner. We do not send marketing communications without your express consent.
4. Retention
We keep the data while your request is being handled and, if no professional relationship is established, for a maximum of 12 months. If one is established, for its duration and then for the statutory limitation periods. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. It is then deleted, unless it must be retained in blocked form to meet legal obligations.
5. Recipients
We do not share your data with third parties unless required by law. To provide the service we use processors bound by a contract under Art. 28 of the GDPR: web hosting and the email service where requests are received (Hostinger, with servers in the European Union), delivery of reply and confirmation emails (Brevo, by Sendinblue SAS, with servers in the European Union) and audience measurement (Plausible Analytics, European Union). Plausible does not use cookies or store IP addresses; it works with aggregated data that cannot identify you.
6. International transfers
None are planned. Should a provider process data outside the European Economic Area, it would do so with the safeguards set out in Chapter V of the GDPR.
7. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to info@linkcapital.io. If you believe your request has not been properly handled, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, AEPD (www.aepd.es (se abre en una pestaña nueva)).
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connection (HTTPS), access restricted to the partners and no storage of form submissions on the web server.
